Piperatum

Description (German "peppered", also Vina Piperata) for one in antique Rome from wine, honey and from pepper dominated spices spiced wine that has been warmed or mixed with hot water. The Conditum (Conditum Paradoxum) was a slightly more sophisticated version with pepper, mastic (resin from the evergreen mastic pistachio plant), bay leaves, saffron, roasted date kernels and dates.
