The winery is located in the municipality of Neudörfl in the DAC area of Rosalia in Burgenland. In the 19th century, the ancestors of the Piribauer family came here as yeoman farmers. A wine tavern is attached. The farm is run by Anton Piribauer Jr, assisted by Klemens Piribauer. The vineyards cover 17 hectares. They are 60% planted with the red wine varieties Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, St. Laurent, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, and 40% with the white wine varieties Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Grüner Veltliner and Chardonnay. Depending on the type of wine, the wines are matured in stainless steel tanks or in barriques. Every year, 40,000 bottles of wine are produced. The winery is a member of the Vinum Rosalia association.
The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
