Placomusophilie

Term for collecting (grch. Philos = friend, preference / inclination for certain objects) the at Sparkling wine bottles usual small metal capsules that are between Agraffe (Wire mesh) and cork are located. Through appropriate imprints, these are referred to in French as "plaque de muselet" capsules as an advertising medium. There is a large collector 's scene in France in particular Champagne bottle caps, of course, especially old brands are very popular. The term is made up of "placomuso" and "philie". Placomuso is an artificial word that was formed from "plaque" (plaque) and "muselet" (wire basket = Agraffe).
