The white grape variety comes from France. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2012, it is probably a natural cross between Gouais Blanc x Chasselas. However, this is based on only 20 DNA markers (see molecular genetics). The Plant de Séchex and Sainte Marie varieties were created with the same parents. In 2016 no stocks were recorded (statistics Kym Anderson).
