The winery is located in the municipality of Apetlon in the Burgenland wine-growing region of Neusiedlersee (Austria). It is managed by the brother couple Peter and Christoph Münzenrieder - the name "PMC" is derived from the first letters of their first and family names. Peter Münzenrieder is responsible for marketing and sales, Christoph Münzenrieder for grape production and vinification. The vineyards cover 18 hectares in the Dorn, Neubruch, Neusiedlerweg, Siebenmahd and Tiglat vineyards. They are 55% planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Chardonnay, Welschriesling, Pinot Blanc, Bouvier, Scheurebe and Neuburger, and 45% with the red wine varieties Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, St. Laur ent, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir.

The winery is an absolute specialist for sweet wines. There are excellent climatic conditions for this, because in the entire area around Apetlon there are a large number of "Lacken" (water ponds), which offer the best conditions for the noble fungus Botrytis cinerea. Of the production, 15% are fruity, acidic white wines, 45% red wines and 40% sweet wines up to ice wine. Sweet wines are also made from Zweigelt. The premium wines include the barrique-aged "Diabolus" (Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, CS), "Zweigelt vom Tiglat", "Pinot Noir vom Dorn" and the Trockenbeerenauslese "Auratum TBA" (Chardonnay, Welschriesling, Bouvier), as well as the classically aged "Pinot Noir Classic", "Zweigelt Classic" and "Chardonnay Classic". The wines are exported to Germany, Holland, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan and Hungary.

The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
