Pouilly-Fuissé

The municipal appellation is an enclave at the southern end of the area Mâconnais in the Burgundy, But you may not use the area Pouilly-Fumé (Sauvignon Blanc) on the Loire be confused. The appellation closes to the south Saint-Véran on. The vineyards cover 760 hectares in the four municipalities of Chaintré, Fuissé, Solutré-Pouilly and Vergisson. Location names may be used (but there are no Grand Cru or Premier Cru locations). White wines of the variety are allowed Chardonnay,

To the southeast of it are the two satellite appeals Pouilly-Loché (may also use Mâcon-Loché or Pouilly-Vinzelles) and Pouilly-Vinzelles . Well-known producers of all three appellations are Daniel Barraud, Château de Beauregard, Château de Fuisse, Clos de Bourg, Cordier, Corsin, Michel Forest, Galley-Golliard, Groupement de Producteurs de Prissé, Guffens-Heynen, Roger Lassarat, Luquet, Olivier Merlin, Noblete, René Perraton, Saumaize-Michelin, Soufrandise, Valette, Verget and Vincent (Château de Fuissé).
