Pouilly-sur-Loire

Appellation named after the city of the same name at the top of the Loire southeast of Orléans in the department of Nièvre in central France. The vineyards cover 40 hectares of vineyards on the right bank of the Loire and are an enclave within the appellation Pouilly-Fumé, In contrast to the much more "famous brother", the white wine consists mainly of the variety Chasselas and will be with Sauvignon Blanc blended.
