Pouilly-sur-Loire

Appellation named after the town of the same name on the upper course of the Loire southeast of Orléans in the Nièvre department in central France. The vineyards cover 40 hectares of vineyards on the right bank of the Loire and are an enclave within the appellation Pouilly-Fumé, In contrast to the much "more famous brother", the white wine consists mainly of the variety Chasselas and is with Sauvignon Blanc blended.
