The white grape variety is a new breed between ( Sylvaner x Riesling ) x (Riesling x Silvaner). Synonyms or breeding numbers are Geisenheim 341-58 and Precocisima. The crossing took place in 1952 by Dr. med. Helmut Becker (1927-1990) in the research institute Geisenheim (Rheingau). Of the variety protection was granted in 1997. The late ripening, hardy Vine is resistant to both mildews , which is why she as PIWI Variety is, however, prone to Botrytis, She provides fruity, racy wines, which are well suited as sparkling wines. No stocks were reported in 2010 (Statistics Kym Anderson ).
