The white grape variety is a new breed between ( Sylvaner x Riesling ) x (Riesling x Silvaner). Synonyms and breeding numbers are Geisenheim 341-58 and Precocisima. The cross was made in 1952 by Dr. Helmut Becker (1927-1990) in the research institute Geisenheim (Rheingau). The variety protection was granted in 1997. The late ripening hardy Vine is resistant to both mildews which is why she as PIWI Variety applies but prone to Botrytis, It renders fruity, racy wines that are well suited as sparkling wines. No stocks were shown in 2010 (Statistics Kym Anderson ).
