Prince Noir

The red grape variety (also Meynieu 1) is an interspecific new breed between Cabernet Sauvignon x unknown partner. By the French ampelographer Pierre Galet (1921-2019) were the father variety Noah or Baco Blanc suspects, but this is unlikely. The crossing of the hybrid was done in France by the private breeder André Meynieu; the year of origin is unknown. The variety has no meaning; in 2010 no inventory was shown (Statistics Kym Anderson ).
