The white grape variety originates from Italy. Synonyms are Procanico dell Isola d'Elba and Procanico Portoferraio. It is a small-grape variety of the Trebbiano Toscano variety with a higher quality. It is cultivated in the Italian regions of Latium, Tuscany and Umbria. There it is used in the DOC/DOCG wines Cerveteri, Colli Etruschi Viterbesi, Est! Est!!! Est! !! di Montefiascone, Elba, Parrina and Orvieto. However, the stocks are not recorded separately.

I have great respect for the scope and quality of the wein.plus encyclopaedia. It is a unique place to go for crisp, sound information on terms from the world of wine.
