The white grape variety originates from France. Synonyms are Annereau, Bests K, Blanc Pic, Canut, Chalosse Blanche, Confide, Eil de Tour, Jacquet, Jacquot, Menu Blanc, Millenc, Oeil de Sour, Oeil de Tour, Petouche, Prúera, Prunaley, Prunelat and Redondal Blanc. It is presumably a very old vine. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2021, it comes from a presumably natural cross between Savagnin Blanc (Traminer) x unknown parent variety. The variety is a parent of the Jurançon Blanc variety. No stock was reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
