Abbreviation for "Priznano Tradicionalno Poimenovanje" (in German: recognized traditional name). The country-specific quality wine class "Vino PTP" was created in Slovenia applied for in 1997 in preparation for EU accession, granted there after long negotiations by special arrangement and then officially introduced in 2001 as the highest quality level.
