Quatourze

The appellation Languedoc-Quatourze is located in the southwest of the French winegrowing region Languedoc, To the east then lies the AOC La Clape, The former VDQS area was classified as AOC in 2011 and belongs to the second quality category "Grands Vins du Languedoc". The vineyards cover 80 hectares of vines on quartz and sandstone floors. They are located around the municipality of Narbonne in the department Aude, The red wine is made from at least 2 of the 3 main grape varieties Grenache Noir ( Garnacha Tinta ), Mourvèdre ( Monastrell ) and Syrah, as well as Carignan Noir ( mazuelo ) Cinsault and Llladoner Pelut ( Garnacha Peluda ) blended.
