RAC 3209

The red grape variety is a new breeding between unknown parents. The crossing took place at the Agroscope Changins-Wädenswil Institute (also RAC for short - hence the name) in Switzerland. The early to medium ripening vine has good resistance to various vine diseases, but is susceptible to downy mildew. It yields dark-coloured red wines. The variety is cultivated by one producer in the canton of Zurich. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
