The white grape variety (also IAC 116-31) is an interspecific new variety between Seibel 7053 (Chancellor) x Pinot Noir. It contains genes from Vitis labrusca, Vitis lincecumii, Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera. The hybrid was crossed in Brazil in 1946. In 2016 no stocks were reported (statistics Kym Anderson).
The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
