Ramisco

The red grape comes from Portugal, Synonyms are Ramisco de Colares, Ramisco nos Açores and Ramisco Tinto. According to 2015 DNA analysis she is a parent of the variety Concieira, However, this is based on only 21 DNA martens (see under Moilekulargenetik ). There is also a genetically close relationship with the varieties Sercial and Trincadeira Preta, The late-ripening vine has particularly thick berries. It produces extremely dark colored, acid and tanninreiche Red wines with earthy Aromas of mushrooms and cedarwood, as well as storage potential. The variety is in the DOC range Colares cultivated on the Atlantic coast. A peculiarity is that the vineyards by the deep sandy soil there phylloxera were spared and therefore the variety ungrafted is grown. The acreage in 2010 was 23 hectares (Kym Anderson ).
