Ranna Melnishka Loza

The red grape variety is a new breed between Shiroka Melnishka x valdiguié, Synonyms are Early Melnik, Melnik 55, Melnishka Ranna and Ranna Melnishka. The crossing took place in 1963 Bulgaria by the breeder Yane Atanasov. A seed mixture of the three varieties was used for breeding Durif.
