Reinartz Michael

The Austrian journalist Michael Reinartz (*1939) is the founder and long-time editor of the German-language editions of the restaurant guide Gault Millau. This was Austria from 1978, Switzerland from 1982 and Germany from 1983. In 1985 Reinartz retired to Gault-Millau Austria, which he published until 2005. For his work he received the Steinfeder Prize for Wine Journalism in 1998 and the Golden Badge of Honour for Services to the Federal Province of Lower Austria in 2000.
