The winery is located in the municipality of Wiltingen (Saar area) in the German wine-growing region of Mosel. It was founded in 1873 by the widow Anna Lioba Resch. A guesthouse is attached. Since the early 1990s, it has been run in the fifth family generation by advertising expert Franz-Andreas Resch and his wife Monika. The vineyards cover almost seven hectares of vines in the Klosterberg, Rosenberg, Scharzhofberg and Schlangengraben (Wiltingen) sites. They are mainly planted with Riesling, as well as Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Natural, environmentally friendly viticulture has been practised consistently since the 1980s, for example at permanent cover crop. The aim is to achieve a typicality of the vineyards that is not harmful to the environment. The aim is to preserve the typicity of Saar Riesling and to bottle it as authentically as possible and in relation to its location. Wherever possible, the wines are fermented spontaneously and stored for a long time on the fine lees. They are matured in stainless steel, plastic and glass tanks. An interesting experiment is the Riesling "Newton", which is made without mechanical intervention. In suitable years, noble sweet Beerenauslese wines and ice wines are also produced.
