Großlage in the municipality of Hörstein (Mainviereck area) in the German wine-growing region of Franconia. It was formed from the former individual vineyards Käfernberg, Königsberg, Langenberg, Reuschberg, Schwalbenwinkel and Sechsmorgen during the land consolidation in 1971. Wines from individual parcels may be marketed under the single vineyard designation Abtsberg. The vineyards, which are mostly oriented from west to southeast, as well as on a hilltop in some parcels to the east-southeast, with slopes of up to 30%, cover 36 hectares of vineyards. The soils consist of primary rock with mica slate and granite with a loess overlay. Müller-Thurgau and Riesling are cultivated here. Shares are held, for example, by the wineries Hofgut Hörstein and Höfler Bernd.
