RFID is the abbreviation for "Radio Frequency Identification System", which enables the automatic identification and localization of objects and living things for the collection, storage and evaluation of data. The system consists of a transponder (also radio tag), which is located on or in the object and living beings and contains a distinctive code, and a reader for reading this identifier. Small format RFID transponders can also be implanted in pets or humans.
Such systems are now also protected by wineries or producers wine adulteration and manipulations used. The RFID number is on the back label of the bottle clearly legible. This can prevent the distribution of the wines and thus any black market activities. It also guarantees the authenticity of the wines. Each label a separate identification number is assigned which is linked to the electronic parts of the labeling machine and the warehouse doors. In this way, information between the chip and the customer or delivery database can be stored and traced.
