Term for a group of winegrowers in California that was established in the 1980s. They began to produce their red and later also white wines according to the Rhône recipe in the French region of Rhône. This resulted in an enormous increase in the areas under cultivation for the two varieties Syrah and Viognier. The Italian counterpart is the Cal-Ital group, so to speak.
For my many years of work as an editor with a wine and culinary focus, I always like to inform myself about special questions at Wine lexicon. Spontaneous reading and following links often leads to exciting discoveries in the wide world of wine.
