The white grape variety is an interspecific new breed between Cabernet Sauvignon x unknown resistance partners. Synonyms are VB 11-11-89-12 and Valentin Blattner 11-11-89-12. They are genes from Vitis amurensis and Vitis vinifera contain. The crossing of the hybrid was done in 1989 by the winery owner Valentin Blattner in Soyhières in the Swiss canton of Jura, the selection then in the nursery Freytag in Neustadt / Lachen-Speyerdorf in the palatinate (Germany). The early ripening vine is resistant to frost and both mildews but prone to Botrytis, It produces flowery white wines with a mild acidity, as well as aromas of apples, apricots and white flowers. The variety is from a producer in Groesbeek in the Netherlands grown. In 2010, however, no stock was shown (Kym Anderson ).
