The winery is located in Trier in the German wine-growing region of Mosel. In 2006, Dr Marion and Alexander Rinke acquired a three-hectare parcel of land on the southern Moselle in Langsur, just before the Luxembourg border. After many years of fallow land, up to two-metre-high walls of blackberries had to be cleared by hand. The vineyard in Langsur's Brüderberg covers 2.6 hectares with a slope of up to 75°. Here, the white wine varieties Chardonnay with old clones "Selection Massale" (90%), as well as Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Viognier, Traminer and Muskateller (10%) are cultivated in a mixed set. A small part is planted with Pinot Noir (Burgundian clones). The second part consists of parcels with 1.5 hectares of vineyards on the Saar in the single vineyards Altenberg (Oberemmel), as well as Braunfels and Klosterberg (Wiltingen). Here, the varieties Riesling (some of which are over 40 years old), Frühburgunder and Pinot Noir are cultivated. The vineyards are very steep, and some of them are cultivated at single-pole training.

The extremely low-yield grapes from the Brüderberg are harvested physiologically ripe and fermented spontaneously with the vineyard's own yeasts. Cellar work is carried out according to non-invasive principles with as little intervention as possible. Vinification takes place without protein stabilisers and clarification aids. The white wines from the Brüderberg are vinified in the two lines "Langsurer Brüderberg Muschelkalk" in 1,200 litre barrels and "Langsurer Brüderberg Terrassen S" in barrique, depending on the location and vintage, with the aim of extreme longevity. The red wine made from Pinot Noir matures for at least 18 months in barrique. The white wines from the Saar, which are also spontaneously fermented, are largely matured without control and are kept on the lees for a long time. The red wines from the Saar mature for at least 12 months in barrique. All wines are produced vegan.
