The white grape variety (also BV 06.06.67) is an interspecific new breeding between Merzling x (Seyve-Villard 12-375 = Villard Blanc x Pinot Gris). The name is derived from Pinot Gris. It contains genes from Vitis berlandieri, Vitis lincecumii, Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera. The hybrid was crossed in the Czech Republic by a team led by Vilém Kraus (1924-2013). Plant variety protection was granted in 2008. The late-ripening vine has good resistance to botrytis and powdery mildew, as well as moderate resistance to downy mildew. It yields yellow-green, aromatic white wines with a vegetal note. The variety is grown in small quantities in Moravia. However, no stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
