Ritzling

Famous, also called "liver" Riede (location) in the community of white churches in the Austrian wine-growing region Wachau, It was already mentioned in 1236 as "Ritzinger" and in 1301 as "Ritzling". The name derives from the eponymous hamlet (place) or Bach. After an old story was here at Danube a Riesling vine washed ashore. This was formerly the origin of the locals Riesling derived. The loamy alluvial sand on Urgesteinsboden is very well suited for this variety.
