Rohály Gábor

The Hungarian wine author and wine critic Gábor Rohály (* 1935) graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry Semmelweis Clinic in Budapest and initially ordained as a dental specialist. Incidentally, he was a hobby winemaker, but from the year 1986 turned his interest in wine in the direction of professionalism. He founded the order "Sieben Weinrichter" and settled as sommelier form. Finally he graduated from the Wine Academy Austria the highest in Rust, Burgenland WSET Level 4 Diploma Certificate in Wines & Spirits and also earned the title of Wine Academy. Since 2006, Rohály has taught oenology as a WSET-accredited teacher. Together with his wife he has been editor of the annual Hungarian "Borkalauz" since 1985 (in German wine guide ). He has authored three wine books with other authors and regularly publishes as a freelance columnist and journalist. At the Oxford Wine Companion (ed. Jancis Robinson ) he contributes to the area of ​​Hungary.
