The white grape variety comes from Greece. The parentage (parenthood) is not known. The medium ripening vine is generally quite resistant to diseases and drought. It produces fresh, acidic white wines with aromas of peaches and stone fruits. The variety is cultivated in smaller quantities in the north-east of the Peloponnese. In 2016, however, no stocks were recorded (statistics Kym Anderson).
