Frequent vineyard designation in Austria. In the Rosenberg vineyard in the Wagram wine-growing region (Lower Austria), the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner and Frühroter Veltliner, as well as the red wine varieties Zweigelt and Cabernet Sauvignon are grown on deep loess soils. The wineries Bauer Anton, Bauer Josef, BRÜNDY, Ott Bernhard and Polsterer Andreas, for example, have shares in the vineyard.
There are other vineyards named Rosenberg in the Austrian wine-growing regions of Carnuntum, Kamptal, Leithaberg, Vulkanland Steiermark and Weinviertel (Falkenstein).
As honorary chairman of the Domäne Wachau, it is the easiest and quickest way for me to access the wein.plus encyclopaedia when I have questions. The certainty of receiving well-founded and up-to-date information here makes it an indispensable guide.
