The red grape variety comes from Italy, Synonyms are Rossera, Rossola, Rossoladure and Rossolo. It is not allowed, despite seemingly pointing synonyms or name similarities with the varieties Monastrell (with the synonym Rossola Nera), Rossara Trentina. Rossignola or Rossolino Nero be confused. According to done in 2004 DNA analysis is she a direct descendant of Nebbiolo, as well as a parent of Rossolino Nero. The late-ripening vine is prone to real mildew and Botrytis, but resistant to spring frosts.
