Roublot

The white grape variety comes from France. Synonyms are Aubanne, César Blanc, César Femelle, L'Haubanne, Meslier, Plant de Vaux, Plant Paule, Robleau, Roblot, Roublat and Roubleau. It must not be confused with the Meslier Saint-François or Petit Meslier varieties because of the synonym Meslier. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2013, it is probably a natural cross between Pinot x Gouais Blanc. In the 19th century, it was widespread in the Chablis. The vine is susceptible to fungal diseases. It produces alcohol-rich white wines that tend to oxidize. The variety is cultivated in the Burgundy department of Yonne. However, no stock was reported in 2010 (statistics Kym Anderson).
