The red grape variety (also Seibel 5898) is a complex interspecific new breed between Jaeger 70 ( Munson ) x Seibel 3015 (Bayard x Afus Ali ). They are genes from Vitis aestivalis. Vitis labrusca. Vitis lincecumii. Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera contain. The crossing of the hybrid was done by the French breeder Albert Seibel (1844-1936). The late-ripening vine is resistant to the wrong people mildew, It produces light red wines that primarily serve as blending partners. The variety is grown in the U.S. states Indiana. Iowa. Missouri. new York and Pennsylvania cultured. In 2010, the United States 42 hectares of vineyards reported (Kym Anderson ).
