Ruby (grape variety)

There are at least three grape varieties with this name. In 2010 were in Kazakhstan nine hectares of vineyards for a variety called Ruby (Kym Anderson ). But it is not clear which one is meant:

1) The red variety is an interspecific new breed between Elvira x Brighton, They are genes of Vitis labrusca. Vitis riparia and Vitis vinifera contain. The intersection of hybrid took place in 1890 in the United States by the botanist Thomas Volney Munson (1843-1913).

2) The red berry variety is an interspecific new breed between Keuka x Ontario, They are genes of Vitis labrusca and Vitis vinifera contain. The crossing of the hybrids took place in 1923 by Richard Wellington at the Cornell University in Geneva (New York). She was crossing partner of the new breed Caberinta,
