The red variety (also Rouene) is a new breed between Chiroka Melnichka ( Shiroka Melnishka x Cabernet Sauvignon What happened through 2004 DNA analysis was confirmed. The crossing took place in 1951 by the breeder K. Stoev in Bulgaria, The late-ripening vine is relatively resistant to Botrytis, It produces colorful, full-bodied, velvety red wines with aromas of red fruits and storage potential. The variety is cultivated in the southwest of the country. In 2008, eight hectares were covered here (ex Wine Grapes ); in the statistics of Kym Anderson was in 2010 but no inventory reported.
