Ruttenstock

Producer description of "Weingut Ruttenstock Karl"
The winery is located in the municipality of Röschitz south of Retz in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region of Weinviertel. Guest rooms are attached. The family has been involved in viticulture for several generations. Today, the winery is run by Karl Ruttenstock, assisted by his son Mathias. The vineyards cover 11 hectares in the Himmelreich and Reipersberg vineyards, for example. Three quarters of the vineyards are planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Pinot Blanc, Riesling and Chardonnay, and one quarter with the red wine varieties Zweigelt, Blauer Portugieser and Blauburger. The premium wines include, for example, various Weinviertel DAC (Grüner Veltliner) and the red wine "Cuvée Exquisit". In years with suitable weather conditions, ice wines are also produced. Grape juices are also produced.
