The white grape variety is grown in Japan
cultured; the origin is unknown. According to a hypothesis, it was abandoned in the 19th century China
introduced and was considered identical to the variety Longyan

, It produces white wines with a balanced acidity and pear aroma. The variety is mainly grown in Nagano Prefecture (main island Honshu). In 2010 the acreage was 24 hectares.
