The estate is located in the municipality Wehlen, district of Bernkastel-Kues (Area Middle Mosel) in the German growing area Moselle, It is the trunk of the now divided possessions of the family Prüm, It was founded by Sebastian Alois Prüm (1794-1871). After the death of his son Matthias (1835-1890), the estate was divided in 1911 among his children. The named after the founder Sebastian Alois (1877-1959) got one of the largest parts. In 1971, the estate was taken over by his grandson Raimund Prüm aka "Roter Prüm". It was divided in 1964 into six parts, but now with the affiliation of Wehlener and Graacher vineyards of the winery Jos. Christoffel jr. again largely merged. Attached is a guest house.
