Saint-Andéol

Independent municipality area with the four municipalities Bourg-Saint-Andéol, Saint-Just-d'Ardèche, Saint-Marcel-d'Ardèche and Saint-Martin-d'Ardèche in the department Ardèche in the southern French appellation Cotes du Rhone-Villages (see the AOC regulations there). The name has also been allowed to appear on the label be mentioned, but this only applies to red wines. Winegrowing goes back to the Romans. The vineyards are on the right bank of the Rhone on sandy alluvial soils with inclusions of clay, lime and pebbles. The climate is characterized by the cool mistral that blows through the river valley.
