Next Montagne. Lussac and Puisseguin one of the four municipalities, all outside the appellation Saint-Emilion (Bordeaux) just north of the Barbanne river. These four may also use their name on the label, in this case Saint-Georges-Saint-Émilion . As a special feature, Saint-Georges may alternatively use the name Montagne-Saint-Émilion. The vineyards cover around 200 hectares. The red wines become dominant Merlot, such as Cabernet Sauvignon. Cabernet Franc and Pressac ( Cot ) blended and are similar to those from Saint-Émilion. Well-known producers are Château Belair-Montaiguillon, Château Belair-Saint-Georges, Château Maquin-Saint-Georges, Château Saint-Georges and Château Tour-du-Pas Saint-Georges.
