The appellation Languedoc Saint-Saturnin is located in the center of the French winegrowing region Languedoc, It was classified as AOC in 2010 and belongs to the second quality category "Grands Vins du Languedoc". The south-facing vineyards cover 730 hectares of vineyards at 200 to 400 meters above sea level on limestone soils at the foothills of the Lazarc Plateau. They extend across the four municipalities of Arboras, Jonquières, Saint-Guiraud and Saint-Saturnin de Lucian in the department Hérault, Red wine and rosé are made from at least 2 of the 3 main grape varieties Grenache Noir ( Garnacha Tinta ), Mourvèdre ( Monastrell ) and Syrah, as well as Carignan Noir ( mazuelo ) and Cinsault blended.
