Saint-Vincent Tournante

After the patron saint of Burgundian winemakers Vincent of Valencia called wine festival. It is organized annually in January on the weekend after its commemoration day, January 22, in different Burgundian communities. The origin of this traditional event dates back to the Middle Ages, when professional brotherhoods in many wine places in the Burgundy emerged. After a decline was in 1938 by the Brotherhood Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin a revival started and the feast first in Vougeot carried out. After the Second World War, it gained great importance again. In addition to traditional tastings, there will be a procession, a service and the addition of new members to the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin. See also below wine Brotherhood,
