Salem

The white grape variety (also Rogers 22) is an interspecific new breed between Carter x Black Hamburg ( Schiava Grossa ). They are genes from Vitis labrusca and Vitis vinifera contain. The crossing of the hybrid took place in the middle of the 19th century United States through ES Rogers in Salem / Massachusetts, It is used as a wine press table grape used. No stocks were shown in 2010 (Kym Anderson ).
