The French-born wine expert John U. Salvi lived in Great Britain for the longest time of his life. He was successful for more than 40 years in various functions as wine consultant, wine dealer, wine critic, oenologist and journalist. He was able to use his extensive experience as a juror at numerous renowned wine competitions in many countries worldwide. Since 1970 he has been Master of Wine. He represented Great Britain in the "International Union of Oenologists", was active in the OIV and as an author wrote numerous articles, reports and commentaries in various publications such as "TASTED" and "International Wine and Gastronomy Fair". Salvi has lived in the Médoc since his retirement. He publishes the monthly "Bordeaux Weather Report", in which he analyses the impact of weather on wine growing in Bordeaux.
For my many years of work as an editor with a wine and culinary focus, I always like to inform myself about special questions at Wine lexicon. Spontaneous reading and following links often leads to exciting discoveries in the wide world of wine.
