DOC area for red wine in the Italian region of Marche. The zone covers six hectares of vineyards in the municipalities of San Ginesio, Caldarola, Camporotondo di Fiastrone, Cessapalombo, Colmurano, Gualdo di Macerata, Loro Piceno, Ripe San Ginesio and Sant'Angelo in Pontano in the province of Macerata. The Rosso is blended from Sangiovese (to 50%), any use of Vernaccia Nera = Garnacha Tinta, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Ciliegiolo (to 35%), as well as other permitted varieties (max. 15%). The Spumante must consist of at least 85% Vernaccia Nera.
