San Pedro

The company "San Pedro Vineyards & Winery" is one of the oldest and largest wineries in Chile, It was founded in 1865 by the Bonifacio brothers and José Gregorio Correa. In 1994 it was taken over by the Chilean beverage company "Compañía Cervecerías Unidas", of which the German brewery "Paulaner" holds the majority. The vineyards in the fields Curicó and Maipo cover 1,200 hectares. The simple varietal wines are marketed under the "Gato" label. Other lines are "1865" and "35 South". The premium lines are "Castillo de Molina" and "Cabo de Hornas", the flagship is the "Cabo de Hornas Cabernet Sauvignon". The “Santa Helena” winery was bought in the 1970s. There wines are marketed under the labels "Gran Viño", "Siglo de Oro" and "Selección del Directorio". A new winery was built in Molina. The oenologist Jacques is a consultant Lurton active.
