Santarena

The red grape variety (also Santareno) is a new cross between João de Santarém (Castelão Francês) x Muscat d'Hamburg. The crossing took place in Portugal. Here it is grown in the Centro region. In 2016, 724 hectares of vineyards were reported (Kym Anderson statistics).
