The winery is located in the municipality Gamlitz-Sernau in the Austrian wine-growing region südsteiermark, The tarditiosnreiche enterprise is since 1887 in family possession and is led by Willi and Maria Sattler. Senior Wilhelm Sattler was considered a pioneer of dry wine growing in the Styria for which he was also awarded the Golden Medal of the state. Since the year 2014, son Andreas is mainly responsible in the winery. The second eldest son Andreas brings his ideas and his verve in the winery since 2018 and is mainly responsible for the vineyards. In the courtyard there is a two-toque restaurant and a hotel with vineyard pool, run by Willis brother Hannes Sattler.
The own vineyards cover 35 hectares of vines in the vineyards Kranachberg (Great STK-Ried), im Monpopl located Pfarrweingarten (Large STK-Ried), Sernauberg (First STK-Ried) and chapel vineyard. It is extreme steep slopes up to 70% slope Tilt in 400 to 450 meters above sea level. They are 95% with the white wine varieties Sauvignon Blanc. The wines are subject to 100 & the guidelines of Southern Styria DAC and are produced in the lines Gebietswein (Südsteiermark), Ortswein (Gamlitz and Eichberg) and Riedenwein (Kranachberg, Pfarrweingarten, Sernauberg, Kapellenweingarten).
