Satzberg

Single location in the municipality Reicholzheim (area Tauberfranken) in the German growing area to bathe, It is one of the oldest vineyards in Germany, because here was already operated in the 8th century viticulture. The former spelling "Zathzenberg" indicates a former owner Ritter "Zazo". The first documentary mention took place in 1318. Since the spring of 2009, the vineyard belongs to the newly founded winery Alte Grafschaft, represented by Christoph Dinkel and Norbert Spielmann. The oriented to the south-southeast with 16 kilometers of sandstone dry stone terraces terraced vineyard with 25 to 40% slope covers eight hectares of vineyards on soils with Buntsandstein. Of these, only one hectare each are planted with Pinot Blanc and Riesling.
