The white grape variety (breeding no. WE 69-607-42) is a new breeding between Sauvignon Blanc x Riesling. Incidentally, the same parents also produced the two varieties Sauvignon Gryn and Sauvignon Sary. The crossing took place in 1969 at the Staatliche Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt Weinsberg in Württemberg. The variety protection was granted in 2013. The medium to late ripening vine produces fruity, strong white wines similar to Sauvignon Blanc with a pronounced citrus note. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
