scented

perfumed, scented (GB)
parfumé (F)
profumato (I)

Description (also perfume) for the complex, varied smell or aroma of a wine in the context of a wine evaluation or wine address. If it is too strong, it tends to be understood negatively, i.e. as obtrusive. Wines from bouquet varieties or wines aged in oak(barrique age ing) can have this impression. Related or associated terms are aromatic, floral, fragrant and rose.
